Heon-seong Kim, CEO of Medic-K Systems, who developed'Hub Linker', an integrated solution that connects oriental medicine clinics and common bath rooms, gave a detailed talk.
[Interview] 'Medik System' CEO Kim Heon-seong
Q. Please briefly introduce your company.
Hello. This is Heon-Sung Kim, CEO of Medic-K System. Our Medic-K system is a company that strives to incorporate the new technology of the 4th industrial revolution into the oriental medicine industry, which has been slow in IT development. In order to develop a medical system that can systematically manage the entire oriental medicine industry, such as patient reception, treatment, prescription delivery, and herbal medicine dispensing, the Medici-K System was founded. Our team started as a university research institute startup team, and all of our team members are from developers.
Q. The combination of IT and oriental medicine is fresh. Do you have any special moments in your decision to start a business targeting the oriental medicine industry?
When I was in college, I participated in a program called the Software (hereinafter referred to as SW) Club Talent Donation Challenge. The SW Club Talent Donation Challenge was a program that the university's SW development team created and provided software that could help small businesses with insufficient SW capabilities. Small business owners were provided with software at a more reasonable price, and the university SW club team was a business to develop SW development capabilities.
We provided the'ICT-based herbal medicine prescription delivery and medicine management system', the predecessor of our herbal linker, to the outpatient room, a pharmacy of oriental medicine clinic, and the response from the oriental medicine industry was hot. In addition, the government received the award from the Minister of Science, ICT and Future Planning in 2016, as it was evaluated as a system that can help outpatient bath rooms. After receiving the award, I developed a system that can manage the entire outpatient bath room, so that the oriental medicine industry has developed a system that can earn the public's trust, and started the'Medic-K System' in earnest.
Q. I am unfamiliar with the concept of oriental medicine bath room solution. What is the'Hub Linker' solution in simple terms?
In short, it is a service that provides a system that can enhance the trust of the oriental medicine industry with an oriental medicine solution that connects patients, oriental clinics, and bath rooms. Herb Linker is a software system that systematically manages the entire process until a patient visits an oriental clinic and receives herbal medicine. Oriental medicine clinics can deliver prescriptions through herbal linkers, enabling accurate communication between oriental medicine doctors and herbal pharmacists, and making reliable herbal medicines by electronically recording the entire process from prescription reception to herbal medicine dispensing in the bath room.
