[2021-0531] Smilegate Hope Studio (Chairman Hyuk-bin Kwon) has launched a program called 'Smilegate', a program that supports young people who are passionate about games and entertainment, who want to grow as creators and spread the creative environment in the local community. Membership (hereinafter referred to as SGM)' was announced on the 31st (Mon) to be recruited by dividing into three fields: creative/AI/social participation.
- New section for AI creators who can feel human emotions and have fun together
- SGM Social Participation Division, recruiting college students to spread a creative environment for youth in the local community
- A program to learn and grow together based on the youth community since the launch of SGM 2010
Since its launch in 2010, SGM has continuously developed into a program for young people to learn and grow together based on a community. Based on the know-how of programs that have grown continuously over the past 10 years, this year, SGM will hold the ▲ 'creative (indie game) sector' for young people who dream of completing projects and starting a business as content developers, ▲ expressing human emotions and sharing fun 3 in total, including the 'AI Division' for creators who are developing 'Fun, Human-Like AI', and the 'Social Participation Division' for the college student mentor team interested in volunteering to support IT creative mentoring for children and teenagers. It will be expanded to several sectors.
SGM's 'Creation Division' supports all stages from content development to completion, including support for research space that can be used 24 hours a day, expert mentoring made up of Smilegate developers and senior creators from SGM, user feedback demonstrations, and provision of creative activity expenses.
The 'AI Division' recruits a team of two or more people who are developing the 'Fun, Human-Like AI' project, supports project fees for each team, AI-related lectures, high-end PC and data credit, etc., and runs independent projects for each team space will be supported. In addition, it provides an opportunity to select excellent projects among SGM AI graduates and participate in the internship program of the Smilegate AI Center.
The 'Social Participation Division' recruits teams of 3 to 4 people with interest and competency in IT content. The team working in the social participation sector works as a mentor for the 'Palette', a creative community program at the local children's center. The participating team will help children from underprivileged people who are difficult to experience a creative environment to grow through autonomous creative projects using IT technology. In addition, each team is provided with an activity fee, networking opportunities with senior jockeys made up of IT-related field majors, volunteer hours, and a certificate proving this.
In particular, the SGM social participation sector, which is officially launched this time, is in line with the direction of Hope Studio, which is continuously researching and supporting a creative environment in which future generations of youth can discover and express their own uniqueness beyond the standardized education. Following the pilot program last year, it will be officially launched this year to further improve the creative environment of the local community.
The SGM creation part can be found on the Future Lab Center's official website (https://futurelab.center) through the 14th of next month, and the social participation section is on the Palette website (http://palette.smilegatefoundation.org) Until the 7th of next month. The AI division is scheduled to open on the Future Lab Center's official website in June.
Meanwhile, Smilegate Hope Studio has been operating SGM since 2010 and has continuously provided opportunities to learn and grow together based on the interests and interests of young people, and to give back to society based on the talents and dreams of young people. In particular, a total of 70 teams and 340 creators have completed the 'Creative Division' so far.
